    Special Education Students

    Flagstaff Unified School District has implemented the Reponse to Intervention (RTI) Program.  We found it successful in identifying students with learning difficulties and providing help with early interventions.  Students that need further educational support are evaluated and referred for special educational services.

     

     Gifted Students

    Flagstaff Unified School District provides an academically enriched curriculum for our students. A variety of teaching strategies are incorporated in classrooms to best meet the academic and social emotional needs of students. 
    • clustering grouping
    • differentiated instruction, learning contracts, independent projects, and alternative assignments and compacting the curriculum
    • Gifted students are also encouraged to participate in competitions and extra curricular district wide activities.
